The Best Roasted Broccoli…EVER

Whenever you order veggies at a restaurant, they always seem to taste much better. That’s probably because of all the oil and salt they add to the dish. However, this roasted broccoli recipe will blow all other recipes out of the water.

The “secret” to making these taste so good is almond flour and pink salt. Many recipes use Parmesan cheese, but this combination tastes so much better and doesn’t include the excess fat and sodium.

Here’s just some of the health benefits of broccoli:

  • It supports the body’s natural detoxification processes.
  • It’s a good source of fiber. One cup delivers 9% of the recommended daily intake of fiber.
  • It’s high in Vitamin C. One cup delivers 135% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin C, which supports the immune system and wrinkle-resistant skin.
  • It’s being studied for its anticancer potential.

Without further ado, here’s the recipe:

Roasted Broccoli

(Serves 3)

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: 30 mins

Total Time: 35 mins

1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets and stems sliced thin

2-3 tsp. olive oil

1 large garlic clove, chopped

1/4 tsp. fresh cracked black pepper

1 Tbsp. almond flour, plus more if desired

1/4 tsp. pink or celtic salt, or more to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lay out broccoli on a large baking sheet, top with oil, garlic, and black pepper. Use hands to toss well until all pieces of broccoli are evenly coated.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven, top the broccoli with almond flour and salt, and mix well to evenly coat. Return to the oven for 10 minutes or so, until broccoli is blackening in places.

Remove and taste. If needed, add salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
