Developing: Police Arrest 4 In Connection With Disturbing FB Live Stream

Chicago police have reportedly arrested four people in connection with what a community activist dubbed a “hate crime.”

According to Fox 32, police first learned of the incident on Tuesday afternoon after a woman live streamed a video on Facebook which showed a young man being held hostage.

In the video, at least four assailants repeatedly hit the victim – who was tied up and had his mouth taped shut – and cut his scalp while yelling, “F*** Donald Trump! F*** white people!”

Warning: The footage below contains strong language and violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

CBS in Chicago said police identified the victim as “a special needs person” who had been reported missing.

“It’s sickening,” said Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson at a news conference today. “It makes you wonder what would make individuals treat somebody like that. I’ve been a cop for 28 years… but it still amazes me how you still see things that you just shouldn’t.”

Police further accuse the suspects – two adult men and two adult women – of stealing a van they ultimately used to bring their victim from the suburbs to an apartment in the city.

Criminal charges have not yet been announced, but CBS Chicago says they are expected.

Meanwhile, the topic has risen to the front page of Reddit after receiving a whopping 17,000+ upvotes in merely two hours.

Many users described the incident as “horrific.”

“What is wrong with society that we feel this level of anger is [acceptable]?” wrote one user. Several others commented on how “foolish” the suspects were for streaming the entire incident live.
